I recently upgraded my Firefox to a new release. After upgrading I realized that whenever I opened a link in a new tab it loaded next to the current tab, rather than at the end of the list. The change is simple. Open about:config, change the browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent value to false, and restart Firefox.
If you own a PS3 and have been waiting for a fun game, perhaps something similar to Little Big Planet in spirit, then look into ModNation Racers, which will be released on May 25. I put down a reserve for a copy and I’m looking forward to having fun online. Early reviews have described the game in the same way: Little Big Planet meets Mario Kart.
Updated 08/29/2011: I still own the game but I haven’t played more than a couple of hours. In fact, I don’t think I ever touched multiplayer. It was a great concept but there were some critical issues that lead to my lack of interest. The first, which was frequently mentioned in reviews, was the long load times.
It took too long to do anything in the game. The other part was the complexity. Mario Kart is fun because it’s easy to get into a game quickly. I didn’t have the same experience with ModNation Racers. Perhaps I’ll play it at some point, but few PS3 games have earned my interest so far.
I did it. Again. I had to. Really.
I bought a Nintendo Wii.
My primary reason for buying it was to play one game: New Super Mario Bros. As of this post I’m in the fourth world of the game. Granted, that’s not very far considering I’ve had the system and game for a few weeks now. But considering the responsibilities that go along with being married, owning a home, and holding a good job… yeah, that’s not to bad. There’s also the fact that I’m playing some other games as well.
I’m not going to write about everything about the game that I think is great. Instead, the only thing that I think really needs to be mentioned is simply that it brings in all of the great elements of Super Mario Bros. 3 for the original NES.
