I recently delved back into setting up a FiveM server so my son and I could play around in the sandbox environment. My last experience wasn’t compelling, but there were many things I didn’t know about at the time, including ESX , QB-Core and txAdmin.
As part of my efforts to setup a more useful server for our home network, I began setting up various applications in a Docker environment and I decided to take another stab at running a modded GTA V server again, this time using Docker containers pupose-built for this.
I tried ESX, first, and then moved to QB-Core, which I have quickly grown to prefer. My goal is to setup our game more like the traditional GTA V gameplay, so I’ve been learning how to modify various properties such as removing hunger, thirst and stress.
So far, I’m very pleased with this setup and I’ve been able to modify the server in several ways and I can’t wait to reveal my recent progress to my son.
